Renewed revision of our drain taps!

In 2015, the ½" drain taps were technically enhanced in a start-up phase. Now all other common sizes will follow (see data sheet).

The further development includes a new seal, which means that the drain taps will be able to withstand significantly higher pressure in future and are practically maintenance-free - with the same dimensions!

A lubricant is used with the previous seals. As this has a thermal dropping point of 180 °C as specified by the manufacturer, the plug had to be dismantled and relubricated after multiple flaming. The self-locking nut also had to be replaced.

The new seal is a PTFE packing that does not require any lubricant. The pressure resistance of the drain cock is increased from PN 6 to PN 25! The thermal application limit of the PTFE is 250 °C, although according to the manufacturer, 200 °C should not be exceeded. By dispensing with a lubricant, the previously necessary disassembly after repeated flaming is no longer necessary.

See for yourself, the first fittings will be available from stock in just a few weeks. If you are interested or have a requirement, please get in touch with your personal contact.
