The Company
In the cellar of the residential building, the company founder Berthold Schoch set up a turning shop on 1 August 1964 and took over various contract work. He gained a stellar reputation by specializing in the manufacture and machining of standard parts for stainless steel pipe connections. |
Our History

It all started in 1964 in the basement of the Schoch family's house in Hausach. At that time, the family business located in the Black Forest, already focused on the machining of stainless steel. The classic machining work such as sawing, turning, drilling, milling and thread cutting was carried out.

Six years later, flanges and threaded fittings such as sockets, elbows and tees were imported from Japan for the first time.
This enabled Berthold Schoch to serve the market not only as a manufacturer but also as a distributor of stainless steel products.

The group photo shows Berthold and his wife Angelika Schoch with their four children Lars, David, Nora and Esther as well as the employees from production and office at that time.

2007 was the starting signal for the establishment of a CNC production. At that time, the machinery consisted of two Mori Seiki lathes and a milling machine.
In addition, a large raw material warehouse was built up to ensure short delivery times and stable prices.

By combining commercial articles and precision turned and milled parts, Schoch Edelstahl offers a total solution with individual delivery concepts. This enables us to increase productivity in the value chain of our business partners, even in the digital age.

About 10 years later, the first own production hall was built to expand the capacities. The new production hall created space for a warehouse and an expansion of the machinery.

In 1983, a new office building, warehouse and production hall were built. Only five years later, the office building was expanded to create several new workplaces.

11 years later, Angelika Schoch took over the company.
In 2004, her son Lars Schoch joined as another shareholder and in 2009, daughter Nora Röttele followed in the management.

In 2010, the older office building was extended by the new building. There, over 25 modern office workstations have been set up on a total area of 670 m².
After nearly 60 years of experience, quality and expertise in the field of metal processing, Schoch Edelstahl employs almost 50 people.
